Volunteers are Needed Before, During and After Festival of Trees

Please come just us as a volunteer and get into the spirit of the season while helping Kennedy Krieger help others. Volunteers are needed for all phases of the three-day event, including set-up and breakdown.

Volunteer Opportunities BEFORE Festival of Trees include: tree set-up, holiday decorating of the Festival, laying snow, preparing crafts, and many other activites. Learn More

Volunteer Opportunities DURING Festival of Trees include: Santa's helper, carousel ticket taker, craft assembly area, interactive games, program distribution, and many other activites. Learn More

Available shifts during the event are as follows: 

Friday, November 25
7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, November 26
7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Sunday, November 27
7:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
10:30 a.m. until 2:30 a.m.
2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Volunteer Opportunities AFTER Festival of Trees include: breakdown, tree packing, inventory, distribution of trees and gingerbread houses, and many other activities. Learn More

Kennedy Krieger Employees Volunteer Opportunities

We rely on the help of Kennedy Krieger employees to make Festival of Trees possible. Some of the unique volunteer opportunities we offer to Kennedy Krieger employees and their friends and family are:

  • Activity Booth- where attendees purchase their tickets for children’s activities
  • Sales Booth- where attendees purchase trees, wreaths, and gingerbread houses
  • Information Booth- where attendees can ask general information questions and pick up event programs
  • Raffle – where attendees purchase raffle tickets
  • Silent Auction- you are on hand to watch over the auction items, answer any questions, and assist with sales
